This workshop will share information about potential funding for Shellfish farmers through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) administered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). This is the first application of NRCS conservation practices for Florida shellfish aquaculture! The EQIP Conservation Practice–Bivalve Aquaculture Gear and Biofouling Control is a voluntary practice used to cycle new aquaculture gear with existing production gear in waters where biofouling occurs. Information on practice specifications and payments will be provided.
